Easter Sunday – Security and the Resurrection

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.Romans 8:31-34
He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! We had so much to celebrate today as we moved our minds from the death of Jesus Christ to his resurrection and what it means that Jesus is alive! The children’s choir was excited to sing about Christ being risen. Every face had a smile plastered across it as the pastel posse sung their little hearts out. After the congregational singing, Reuben and Natalie Woodfield sung a duet called ‘Nothing but the Blood’. Lastly, Pastor Andy opened the word to Romans 8:31-34, which was a timely look at the death and resurrection of Jesus and the salvation now that death has been conquered. Ultimately, we live in an insecure world where anxiety can rule, but the Resurrection provides us a secure eternity with Christ.
