Entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robe; and they were amazed. And he *said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him.Mark 16:5-6
This weekend we celebrated Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection – the center of the Gospel. Over the years we’ve held this service outside as the weather permits. Originally, we met outside because we felt like sardines after squishing everyone into the Worship Center. After a few years, we found that worshiping on the lawn in the warm sun was a change that highlighted Christ’s Resurrection in a way that was unique to our regular services.
This year we were bathed in sunlight as we sung together, were blessed by our children singing God’s praises, learned about The Fullness of the Empty Tomb, and listened to the change the Gospel has made of a brother’s life.
It is with hearts of thankfulness and joy that we say, “He is risen. He is risen indeed.”
